Graphical front-end to the FreeBSD pkg-ng package manager

Octopkg this is a GUI for pkgng, designed to use FreeBSD as a desktop, I do not use Octopkg on desktop, but maybe someone will find it useful. The main Octopkg window displays installed packages, where users can reinstall, uninstall, check information and content of packages, as well as lock and unlock their current versions. There is also an option to clear the cache.

To install Octopkg from ports or packages, follow these steps:

cd /usr/ports/ports-mgmt/octopkg/

make install clean

or

pkg install octopkg
