Harry Albright "The Man with the Scar" is an American athlete and professional wrestler. One of the best fighters of Japanese fighting without the rules of Bushido (uwfi). Born May 18, 1963 in Nebraska (USA). Twice champion of the AJPW WTTC tour (1996 and 1997).
In 1988, Harry began his career in professional wrestling. His first nickname was Wohan Singh, in Bruce Hart's promotion called Calgary Stampede. Afterwards, he teamed up with Mukhan Shingo, who was also known in the field of wrestling under the names Mike Shaw and Norman the Lunatic.
Gary Albright made his debut in Japan on August 24, 1991 at UWFi, where he was King Nobuhiko Takada. In the first match, Albright was knocked out by Yoji Anjoh. The main matches in UWFi were built on strikes, suplexes and painful grips. Over the next eight months, Albright performed exclusively suplexes in the ring. Obraight's first major victory in UWFi was on August 5, 1992, when he knocked out Nobuhiko Takada. After that, they became irreconcilable rivals. Albright began to quickly gain momentum, winning battle after battle, but the streak of victories was quickly interrupted - September 21 (1992) Nobuhiko Takada took a convincing revenge from Albright, thanks to a painful reception.
Albright's next victories resumed in 1994 at the UWFi - "Best of the World". Albright knocked out Billy Scott (Billy Scott) and Yoji Anji (Yoji Anjoh) in the first two rounds to enter the semifinals for the fight with Nobuhiko Takakdo. On June 10, 1994, Albright lost at the Budokan Hall, surrendering at a painful reception. On August 18, Albright defeated Kiyoshi Tamura, finishing the third round. The match took place that very night when Vader took the title from Takada. For all three years at UWFi, Albright has developed his wrestling skills admirably. On November 30, 1994, Albright made Takada surrender with a cross arm breaker.
On June 18, 1995, Albright was to fight Kiyoshi Tamura. Albright ignored all the remarks of the referee, who endlessly shouted out a phrase that later became winged in the Japanese promotions: “Break Gary, break!” Albright simply swore, spitting on all the precautions in the stuffy tricks of both his and Tamura. Tamura made a strangulation - rear choke, Albright gave up. Then Albright left the ring without even shaking hands with Tamura. For Tamura it was the greatest victory in the history of his professional career. Tamura was so upset that Albright did not shake his hand, even burst into tears right in the ring. Two months later, August 18, 1995 Oh lbright returned to UWFi and lost to Tamura in the main event. Six days later, UWFi announced its agreement with NJPW and Albright left the promotion.
Albright joined All Japan Pro Wrestling. The fighting style in AJPW was different from UWFi, so he suffered defeat after defeat.
On January 7, 2000, Harry Albright fought at the World Extreme Show in Hazletoni, PA, against Lucifer Grimm (real name Bill Owens).
After three quarters of the set time, Albright fell into the ring. The official cause of Harry Albright's death was a heart attack. Medical experts also found that Harry Albright had diabetes, had an enlarged heart, and had a blockage of several coronary arteries. It was found that Harry Albright died of natural causes, the police did not deal with this issue.
Interview with father
Friday morning, Harry called me as soon as he woke up to say good morning, and that he was hoping to see me soon. He packed his things because he was going to come to me. At the beginning of the afternoon, Sam, my nephew Met Small, Harry, my wife and I met. At lunch, we talked about many things, and I asked how long it would be with me. He said a week, I asked him to stay one more week so we could spend some time together. After lunch, Harry went to Hazleton with me. He told me all his plans about moving to Montana and opening a wrestling school. Harry and Monica had so many plans for the future. I promised Monica that I would help her to preserve the memory of Harry, and help her in every way to complete the plans that they started.
